Van Hester

Vice President / Project Executive

Van Hester joined Lyle Parks, Jr., Inc.in 1997. As a degreed construction engineer with 30 plus years of construction experience, he has been involved with the management of complex projects ranging from nuclear power plants early in his career to the most recent: elaborate retail and mixed use projects constructed over subterranean parking structures. Mr. Hester is a vital part of the LPJ operation and has proven management skills and the ability to work with clients and their design teams through LPJ's Partner-Build approach.

Mr. Hester’s notable project accomplishments during his years at LPJ include: the 20 acre retail center at Colonies Crossroads; Midtown Crossing, a 12 acre urban site with stacked major and sub major tenants over a parking structure in a tight urban region of Los Angeles; the 30 acre Hesperia Gateway project; and the 1 million square foot master planned Riverwalk business park.

Mr. Hester has also managed several projects in Hollywood, CA. These include The Galaxy Theater Conversion; the 83,400 square foot Metro Hollywood Transit Village which consists of street-level retail, subterranean parking and a 4 level 60 unit low income apartment complex over the MTA Western/Hollywood Blvd subway station; and the 450,000 square foot mixed use Hollywest project anchored with major retailers including Ralphs and Ross.
